Las mil y una noches (en árabe: ألف ليلة وليلة, romanizado: Alf leyla wa-leyla) es una recopilación medieval de cuentos tradicionales de Oriente Próximo recopilados en lengua árabe durante la Edad de Oro del islam. La obra fue tomando forma durante el transcurso de varios siglos con las contribuciones de diferentes escritores y traductores de Asia Occidental, Asia Central, Asia Meridional y el norte de África.
