ألف ليلة وليلة: الجزء الأول
Summary
The first part of the Arabic Nights opens with King Shahriyar, who after a betrayal takes a new wife each evening and has her put to death at dawn, until the vizier's daughter Shahrazad begins a story she leaves unfinished. It carries the tales of the merchant and the jinni, the fisherman and the jinni, King Yunan and the sage Ruyan, and the Porter and the three ladies of Baghdad. The text is the Arabic of the medieval storytellers, as Wikisource's volunteers typed it. This book contains scenes of violence as its author wrote them.
