《北与南》（英语：North and South）是一部19世纪社会写实言情小说，1854年出版，作者是英国作家伊莉莎白·盖斯凯尔。《北与南》是盖斯凯尔最知名的作品之一，曾三度翻拍为电视影集（1966年、1975年和2004年）。 该作以女主角玛格丽特·黑尔的眼光，呈现工业革命带来的资本主义乱象与无产阶级工人的心声。出生南英格兰宁静乡村的黑尔一家人，被迫搬迁至北英格兰的工业城镇“米尔顿”（小说虚构地点，影射作者居住的曼彻斯特）。在这里，她目睹工业革命造成的残酷世界，并因同情穷人而与丈夫约翰·桑顿（鄙视工人的棉花厂老板）产生嫌隙。 本书依原文保留了其时代的种族歧视用语及其他侮辱性词语；《阅读指南》会在这些词语出现之处加以说明。
