Summary
Daisy Miller – nowela napisana przez Henry’ego Jamesa, która wyszła na przełomie czerwca i lipca 1878 roku w Cornhill Magazine. Została opublikowana w formie książki w roku 1879. W tej powieści przedstawiona jest relacja między Amerykanką, tytułową Daisy Miller, oraz Winterbournem, amerykańskim emigrantem. W powieści przedstawiony jest kontrast światopoglądowy głównych bohaterów. Z jednej strony przedstawiona jest zalotna Daisy, z drugiej powściągliwy i osądzający Winterbourne. W stworzeniu relacji i przełamaniu barier społecznych powstrzymują ich osądy społeczne innych emigrantów.
