Das Geheimnis des Edwin Drood (auch: „Das Geheimnis um Edwin Drood“', Originaltitel: „The Mystery of Edwin Drood“) ist der Titel eines Kriminalromans des englischen Schriftstellers Charles Dickens aus dem Jahr 1870. Wie die meisten Werke des Autors erschien er als monatliche Fortsetzungsgeschichte. Als der Autor an den Folgen eines Schlaganfalls starb, lagen 22 von April bis September veröffentlichte Kapitel vor, das heißt etwa die Hälfte des auf 11 Folgen angelegten Romans, der damit als letztes Werk Dickens’ Fragment blieb. Die erste deutsche Übersetzung von Emil Lehmann wurde 1870 publiziert. Dieses Buch gibt die rassistischen und sonstigen Schimpfwörter seiner Zeit so wieder, wie sie geschrieben wurden; der Leitfaden zum Buch erklärt diese Wörter an den Stellen, an denen sie vorkommen.
