Two longer stories about people from Skovstrup, a remote Danish village far from town, railway and church. The first, En Sommernatsdrøm, finds passions as strong as anywhere else under the quiet surface of farm life; the second, Fra Kvist til Kjælder, follows villagers who leave for the city and what becomes of them there.
