Lintukoto: Muutamia päiväkirjan lehtiä

Credits: Joel Lehtonen (author)

Summary

A writer returns each summer to his tiny island cottage on Lake Vanajavesi, which he calls Lintukoto, and keeps a diary of rats, roosters, visiting friends, moonlit nights and the small comedies of his country neighbours. The dated sketches add up to a wry and tender portrait of a refuge from the city and of the man who needs it. This book uses the racial and other slurs of its period as written; the Book Guide explains these words where they occur.
