Les Mémoires d'un Parapluie

Summary

An umbrella tells its own life story, from its first days in a shop to the many hands it passes through: raffled at a party, stolen, pawned, and carried into rich homes and poor garrets. Through its owners, the Comtesse de Houdetot draws a gentle moral portrait of French families for young readers.
